Dangerous Goods Trend Report 2024 Trends Dangerous goods shipments are growing year over year. Lithium batteries are the key driver. They power many high value consumer goods, including computers and smartphones. Their ubiquity means there are lots of new shippers, some of which may not be aware of, or compliant with, the regulations and guidelines that mitigate risk when handling dangerous goods.The global reference for shipping dangerous goods by air is the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR). Content is derived from the deliberations of the IATA Dangerous Goods Board (DGB), which comprises representatives from 12 IATA member airlines elected by the IATA Cargo Services Conference.
